How To Make Dog Pill Pockets

Our big lab has been having some health problems and now needs about 4 pills a day. We’ve been buying pill pockets from costco but it’s getting expensive because of how often we have to buy them. I did some research and found that you can make your own very easily and wanted to share this with you. See the directions below or watch the how to video!

You’ll Need:
2 TBS Flour
1 TBS Milk
1 TBS Peanut Butter

Directions:
1. Add all ingredients to a bowl, try to mix the milk and flour first and then stir in the peanut butter. It just a little easier doing it this way.
2. Keep mixing until it’s no longer sticking to the bowl and then kneed with your hands.
3. Now either place the dough in the fridge for 15 min or form the pill pockets right away. The only difference is that if they are in the fridge for a bit, they will be more firm when you’re creating the pockets.
4. Roll a small piece of dough into a ball and then place the straw into the center. Now roll your fingers back and forth on the ball of dough until it starts stretching up the straw. Stop when you’ve reached the desired size and remove the straw.
