Here is a fun way to make a heart shaped cupcake. You can either use a box cake or make your own using Rosanna Pansino’s recipe below.
1 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
½ cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup butter
1 ½ teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup buttermilk
Let’s get started!
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and sea salt until well combined.
3. In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
4. Add eggs and vanilla extract and beat well to combine.
5. On low speed, beat in the flour mixture until combined. Add buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
