Recipe: Candied Pecans

These candied pecans are so fast and easy to make! These are the perfect fall treat!

You’ll need:
3 cups pecans
1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
1/2 cup white sugar (or splenda)
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 egg white
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees
2. Mix together the brown sugar, white sugar (or splenda), cinnamon and salt. Mix everything together until it’s all blended. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg white and vanilla until frothy. 4. Add the pecans to the egg mixture and mix until they are completely coated.
5. Pour the pecans into a zip lock and then add the sugar mixture. Mix until all of the pecans are coated.
* You can just add the pecans to the bowl with the sugar mix but the ziplock bad is less messy.
6. Pour the pecans onto the greased baking sheet, or use a silicone baking mat and spread them out evenly. 7. Bake for 1 hour, flipping every 15 minutes.
8. Let them cool completely before you enjoy.

You can store these in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 weeks….but there is no way they will last that long LOL
