We went to the local dog park and walked around for a while. The park in Colorado is so big it’s like going on a hike or walking on trails. There is a rope swing there that has broken so many times and people just keep tying more rope to it so people can swing on it. The girls were playing around on the swing and then Lucy came over and bit her in the butt and ran away with her shoe. Lucy is a little over a year old and still acts very much like a puppy. She is so cute.
We also went to see the new movie Sully, it was so good. You definitely have to see this movie. It’s about Chesley Sullenberger “Sully”, an American pilot who became a hero after landing his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the flight’s passengers and crew. It was directed and produced by Clint Eastwood and written by Todd Komarnicki, based on the autobiography Highest Duty by Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow. The film stars Tom Hanks as Sullenberger, with Aaron Eckhart, Laura Linney, Anna Gunn, Autumn Reeser, Holt McCallany, Jamey Sheridan and Jerry Ferrara in supporting roles. The film follows Sullenberger’s January 2009 emergency landing of a commuter jet on the Hudson River, which all 155 passengers and crew survived with only minor injuries, and the subsequent publicity and investigation.
