The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross, Lee Christmas, Yin Yang, Gunnar Jensen, Toll Road and Hale Caesar — with newest members Billy the Kid and Maggie aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother.

Anyone who has read my other reviews on sequels knows I’m really skeptical about them. I was really hoping that this one would be good because I actually really like the first one. I’d have to go ahead and say, it was ok. There was a lot of action and some comedy. The comedy part is what I wasn’t sold on. They brought in Chuck Norris and also Arnold Schwarzenegger again to, I guess make it more attractive for viewers who are fans of those actors. I feel like this only hurt the film. Norris and Schwarzenegger has so many one liners that weren’t even funny and just overall turned the movie into a joke. I think that the story line was pretty good and the other actors in the film were great but just adding “humor” to it ruined it for me. I know there is going to probably be a lot of people that will disagree with this review because everyone LOVE Chuck Norris and his one liners. I personally think it’s old school, it was funny 10…20 years ago but lets move on. Don’t get me wrong I still liked a lot of the movie but just the parts that didn’t have those two in it. I’d be curious to see what everyone else thought of this movie…Let me know in the comments!!
