My Review:
The Smurfs! I remember watching the smurfs cartoon in the morning when I was a little kid and so when I saw they were coming out with a movie I was a little worried they wouldn’t be able to live up to the tv show.  I was right! This movie is OK but it’s not great and it’s not one that I will watch the dvd with my kids over and over.  It’s not horrible but the story line is kind of lame.  The evil Gargamel chases them into NY city and they run around the city trying to find their way back.  That part of the story was fine, it’s when you get into Neil Patrick Harris story.  He is trying to come up with this last minute advertising idea for his somewhat evil boss Sofia Vergara.  She ends up meeting Gargamel and he magically changes her mothers face, then she takes him out to dinner, yada yada yada…boring, boring, boring.  If you have kids, get the movie cause they’ll love it.  If you don’t then don’t waste your time watching this!

My Rating: C-
