My Review:
Anytime you have a successful movie, producers and writers always want to make more. The only problem with that is they tend to not be as good as the original. The Fast and Furious series is kind of up and down for me. I think some of them are good and some are bad. Fast Five would fall under under one of the ones I did like. The first few FF movies has similar plots, you had a bad guy, the sort of good cop and lots of racing. So when they came out with “Fast and Furious” they started to head in a different direction. You still had all the racing but now they had new characters and a plot of revenge! When Fast Five came out I was hoping they would continue with a movie that was more action with some racing rather than a racing movie with some action, and they did. The fact that they included other famous actors like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Joaquim De Almeida helped make the story line more intriguing. This movie has some romance, drama, action, gun fighting, heist planning, and of course racing. The movie starts out with them plotting to steal a lot of money but as they proceed, you can’t really tell how they are going to do it. They get support from about a hundred other races to distract the police while they make their getaway and the way they end up stealing the money is pretty sweet but you’ll have to watch it to find out how. It does have a typical happy ending but they leave it open for another one to be made, so look out for Fast and Furious 6!
My Rating: B+
