Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry (Donald Sutherland) is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead. His mission grows complicated when Harry’s son Steve (Ben Foster) approaches him with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade. Bishop has always acted alone but he can’t turn his back on Harry’s son. A methodical hit man takes an impulsive student deep into his world and a deadly partnership is born. But while in pursuit of their ultimate mark, deceptions threaten to surface and those hired to fix problems become problems themselves. Released Date: January 28th 2011
As soon as I saw this was a movie with Jason Statham, I was sold on it. Just about every movie he has ever done I have loved. This movie was no exception. It kept you on your toes the whole time. There was action, adventure, fighting, a bit of romance, and tons of surprises. The cast for this movie was great and I loved the storyline even though it is somewhat of the same thing Jason always does…but that’s what he is sooooo good at. I loved how you would think one thing was going to happen and then BAM…nope something else. Ben Foster was a great character because one minute you feel sorry for him , then you like him and then the next you hate him and can’t wait for Jason to kick his ass. Overall it was extremely entertaining and I will probably watch this movie over and over.
