Movie Review: Due Date (2010)

Peter Highman is an expectant first-time father whose wife’s due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan–on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter’s last nerve.
Released November 5th, 2010

Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Juliette Lewis
Right off the bat just looking at the two main characters you can tell this is going to be a really funny movie. Just about everyone knows who Zach Galifianakis is now thanks to The Hangover and Robert Downey Jr….well he is……THE MAN!! Within the first 10 minutes the movie had the whole audience laughing. I have to say there were a few scenes where I was covering my mouth in shock from what I was watching. There were some “I can’t believe they showed that” moments but with that said they were also hilarious! A few times through out there were some more dramatic scenes that I felt were good to have in a movie like this because it would give you a breather from laughing. When you thought the movie was turning serious…bam!! another hilarious line from Zach. From start to finish I was completely entertained, laughing non stop and honestly can’t wait to watch it again. I think from now on any movie with Zach Galifianakis will be watched immediately.
