Movie Review: Watchmen (2009)

In an alternate 1985 America, costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” – which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion – a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers – Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the watchmen? Released March 6th, 2009

Starring: Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Patrick Wilson

My Review:

When I first saw the previews I was really excited because it looked a bit like Fantastic Four but when we rented the movie and watched it I was very very disappointing. This movie had no plot, bad acting and it bored me to death. I kept watching it thinking it was going to get better but it just got worse as the minutes went by. I almost stopped a few time but forced myself to watch it to the end. This has to be one of the worst movies I’ve seen, I was bored out of my mind. I would not recommend that anyone watch this movie, rental or theater.

MY RATING: F
